Sense Rugby

When therapy meets rugby

Some of the goals families have for their children when enrolling in a Sense Rugby program may include:

  • Working on motor skills and coordination

  • Developing their confidence and self-esteem

  • Learning a new skill and developing a sporting interest

  • Building social skills and making friends

  • Learning how to follow instructions, wait their turn and be part of a group

  • Learning how to be flexible and manage their emotions

  • Improving their ability to self-regulate by controlling impulses and maintaining self-control

  • to just have fun outside and much more!

Sense Rugby is a rugby based Occupational Therapy program founded by Jesse Parahi (Australian Rugby Sevens) and Carlien Parahi (Occupational Therapist). Aimed to help kids develop a range of skills using modified rugby drills.

There are many reasons why kids may struggle to find success and enjoyment in sport, we are here to help build their skills and confidence.

Our Parkes program is run by our Occupational Therapist and “Grow Physio” with support from Parkes Boars Rugby Union Club.
